Default motor/battery combo

I have onfa hyper 8 (buggy) and a thunder tiger St 1 (truggy)

Looking to convert them to brushless. I am going to get the xerun 150 amp esc with the the 2000kv motor.

What battery setup do you think would be good with this motor combo.

do you think the motor will be to much for the hyper 7.

Looking at using it for some general bashing and non serious racing with freinds.

Thanks in advance.

Ok here goes

Xerun 150amp esc goes with 4274 motor which is 2000kv motor. Great for truggy.

The xerun 80amp esc goes with 4186 2250kv motor. Great for buggy.

Both are reliable & runs smooth n cool.

Need help let me know.

What capacity batteries would you recommend for the different motors.

I would like to have the same capacity batteries that i could use with both motors.

if it was possible to use the same motor for the two cars which one would you recommend (or is it not recommended).

At the moment I would like to get one car set up and them maybe try the motor etc. in the other car. Trying to avoid buying 2 motors batteries etc at this stage (later down the track I will do this provided all goes well with the first conversion.

In this case u can use 150 xerun with 4274(2000kv) motor.

Work great for buggy n truggy.

I use 4900-5500 Lipo for both my truggy n buggy.

Are u racing or bashing

A bit of bashing and some racing just between friends. No serious racing yet

With the combo you recommended i was thinking of a 4s 5000 30c

Will this be a good combo for the motor/esc. I am looking for reliability and longest run time possible.

Any specific battery charger you can recommend.

Your advice has been great, and much appreciated.

I'm getting really excited. Need to place my order soon. The waiting is killing me. Almost having sleepless nights thinking about it.

i am using acorn racing lipo, zippy is great too but they spoil n bloat easily.

www.acornracing.com

it depends on your budget, low budget=zippy, more budget acorn lipo

i am using hyperion duo3 charger as i can charge 2 batt at the same time & its a great charger! But u will need a power supply.

if you need longer run time gear lower speed & use bigger mah batts.

I would suggest you bashing or racing with friends in 10mins segments.

the longer you run the lipo the hotter it will get & lower voltage & the life span will be greatly shorten.

charge at 1-2amp slow charge this will give the lipo a better charge & more consistent power n hence a longer life span of the lipo.

strange is no one answer your questions in your thread

Lol I dun know everything it so happens the questions u ask I know.

As for the C, get 25-35 C will be good enough. Most higher C eg 40-60 are not proven as there's no standard or industry bench mark. So manufacturer can claim alot of things. More C doesn't make the car faster just more efficient.

As for Mah dun get too high as the car will be too heavy. 5000mah on 4s will be just nice.

Be careful with the motor temp try not to exceed 80 degree.
