Default Axle Pins stripped out on SC10

I stripped out one last month. put new one in and last night stripped out two of them at the same time. What or why would this happen? is there an after market brand other then the stock SC10 AE ones?? Thanks in advance!

Not being rude, but you may find this thread more suited to the Elec offroad forum not the nitro one.. but I could be wrong..

It has seemed to be a bit of a problem with the the pins stripping.. think a fair few did some mods=Filled in the space around the tyre where the pin slots in with Expoxy or something to strengthen the rim..

Unless this thread was moved, it is in the electric off road section.

This is a known problem with the SC10. The axles are not threaded down quite far enough so the nut runs out of threads before the wheel is adequately tightened though it feels tight at the wrench. The good news is it's easy to fix. Use a washer behind the axle nut and you should be able to get enough pressure to stop the stripping problem.

Putting JB-Weld in the cavities between the pin slots in the wheels helps too.

i had three strip today with the jconcepts rolex wheel rims i think that the plastic is to soft and that it needs to be a harder type of material where the pin goes i even used a longer losi pin so there was less of a chance of it stripping

It happened to mine, so I got solid pin(ASC1654), hex adapters and slash rear wheels.
