I run a Tekin Rs/ Rs pro with the 208 software and 13.5. All I can say is the Tekin motors are great, reliable, well sealed and last awhile if you do a little maintenance (ocassional clean and bearing lube), they seem to take a little more gear than the SS novak, which are good also, and really cant go wrong with any motor. I have not tried the ballistic or murff motors..(The fast part comes from the speedo---shhh)

Not in non-boosted classs! LOL.
A boost profile will increase the power, but the same profile on one faster and one slower motor, will still result in one faster and one slower motor.... Can you guess which one will go faster?
Motor certainly matters.

I encourage you to take a strong look at the Murfdogg motors. My friend spent $700 to try and keep up with me down the straight in our 13.5 4wd class... LRP, Tekin motors, LRP speedo, then a Tekin RS PrO. Then he bought a Murfdogg and can finally hang with me
Btw- we are also putting down laps just as fast as the mod guys..... These Murfdogg motors are where it's at!
If you are interested, PM the man above, or for more info pm myself or rangerjkb
Have a nice day!

Motor choice
I'll definitely say that I have recently tried all the top competitive 13.5 brands of motors and several modified winds this season to compare performance abilities and characteristics, using a programable ESC to gain the best performance from each. I decided on Murfdogg Motorworks, which proved to have the best overall track performance results and technical support from Matt Murphy. Regardless of motor wind/choice, I would seriously recommend considering the Murfdogg brand, you will not be dissapointed.

"super stock" most likely boost is not aloud.
x12 13.5 241w with a tekin rs in spec mode is hard to beat i gear mine at 78/25 and it rips. but if your wanting to look at a different motor murfdogg's are a solid motor to, im curently running a murfdogg 17.5 in my local stock ect's and it blows averyone away literaly. if you want the guy can build you a motor to your specific needs!
