Several brands of lipo batteries seem to mysteriously have that "umbro-like" pattern on their hardcase lipos (epic, protek, ip-battery etc etc)

Orion servos are simply rebranded Savox servos.

HPI's flux brushless systems are rebranded Castle systems.

Some of HPI's servos are rebranded Futabas (not sure if all are).

The list goes on and on in this industry. I always get a kick out of who's rebranding who's merchandise.

Not true of all of them but true for most. But then, at less than half the price, if it blows up you can buy another one and still come out ahead.

Actually, I've seen the cheapo lipos get replaced for free... and it was the USER'S FAULT, meaning he BROKE it and they replaced it for free. Lack of support for anything cheap... is a myth.

And its not just electronics any more.Look into the teamC, kawada,TQ,annsmann cars. Just as with the electronics some of you have pointed out you can see what the mark-up is as you follow the product from one set of hands to another.

Just remember you get what you pay for. Its not a cliche if its true. That and you really think you will get the owner of the company emailing you from his Iphone at 3:00 in the morning to help you get a part you broke fixed! Philipe from Orion did that when i snapped a crankshaft on a Nitro motor. Ill stick with Orion thanks.

This is nothing new, it's been going on for years... Mip lubes are all automotive greases, thier "red stuff" lude that sells for $6 for less than a teaspoon of lube is actually high temp axle grease you can get for $2 for a tube that will last 100 racers a lifetime!!

Nitro guys!!! Trinity, Traxxas, HPI, O'Donnells(i think), and about 6 other companies sell nitro fuel that is all produced by a manufacturer here in PA, main difference...formula, each uses slightly different oil % and coloring content... and we're not talking a major difference the oil % is like a .5-1% difference!!
