All the esc in Savage Flux come with a zip tie securing it - they are rebadged CC2200 combos. I'm guessing this wasn't HPIs idea.

The CC2200 in the Trx ERBEs use a spec designed mount that does the same thing as a zip tie. I use the trx esc mount on all my MMMs.

If you can prove it was bought in the last year you will have no problems getting it replaced , I have dealt with Castle's customer service several times and always been treated right .

Next time get one of the TRX Mamba Monser ESC mounts for the E REVO like Neu_Racer suggested . If you mount it right this will never happen too you again . Its Traxxas part# 5626 and I use it on all of my 1/8 scales as it holds the MMM esc better than a zip tie and all you have too do is drill a couple of holes .

That's the mount I use too. My FLM EMaxx chassis came predrilled for one.

It really is the best option for mounting the MMM in any RC IMO ...

The traxxas mount is nice, but for not much more in weight the vorza mount is pretty slick.. and easy to swap a ESC if in a hurry (issue btw or during a race) padded and all.

Well I have seen a few negative post on here about the customer service at Castle. I just contacted them about this issue and they were more than helpful and worked with me to get the repair claim submitted.
Lead time on the website shows three weeks as of now. So far I give Castle customer service a big A+++++++++++

My first failure in three years....CASTLE CREATIONS RULES !!!!

Yeah most the bad reviews about castle are impatient little winers that most likely messed up the esc by their user error. And the fact that castle most likely replaced it anyway makes them sound more ignorant.

Seems that I would agree with you on that.

do MMP's need the zip tie trick as well? Or is it not needed due to the differences in cases.
