Search the rb5 thread, there should be a chart that Bean made years ago that shows comparisons of most brands of springs.

The only thing wrong with the chart is that the Cobalt is actually in between the yellow and Blue. For some reason they gave it a 72 number, not sure why.

Is there a conversion from the spring rate to the numbers Kyosho is using? ie 65, 70, 75...

Default Racing Outdoor

We have an outdoor track which I have yet to race my Lazer on. I race everything else but that cause we only use the track on weekends which I work.

But last night was a nice night and I came up with the the most KICK A$$ setup for our track. Track is Loose Loom, and the ZX5 SP shined....In fact it turned faster laps than our all winning never loosing B44 and Durangos. It was so predictable and drove with authority. I tq'd after the first heat.

I will have the setup posted soon....Its was MINT for loose outdoor tracks, everything in theory worked just as planned. Kyosho's imo respond to every adjustment and thats what make them very nice to wrench and tune !

Hi guys - I'm looking at getting an SP and having never owned a Kyosho of any kind I have a couple of quick questions:

1) Where are you guys buying your parts online?
2) Do you have to use Kyosho wheels or will other makes fit (ie JC?)
3) Any "must have" mods or parts I should get?

I can get most parts at my LHS. Amain also carries everything.
I've only used Kyosho wheels.
The only must have part I recommend is the chassis brace.
