I can get up to 20min using 4s 6000mah 45c batteries and a 2000kv motor if I don't pull the guts out of it!

i'm racing the E-class after a couple years running nitro. it is alot more powerful, and definately easier to setup and keep clean, but like it was said, i doubt it will take over nitro until we can get 15,000mah packs for $40 a set.

that being said, we run 7 minute heats and mains at my track. the e class started out with me and one other guy and now there's almost 15 guys running them.

the 8ight 2.0 RTR (converted from nitro) using the RCM motor mount is the track favorite right now. Alot of guys at my track really like those mounts.

As far as the escs...i've had my fair share of headaches with them. I broke 3 RX8's this year and 2 mambas from landing too hard. I got sick of buying replacements so i made my own esc case for one of my escs that was out of warranty. it's worked VERY well for me. I regularly do jump contests at my track, and i've already hit some 50+ft jumps with no issues. so, hopefully, that problem is behind me.

i also run my buggy in the rain here alot. not for racing, but for fun. my basher sports a VXL-3S ESC and a feigao 7L motor and it's as fast as a castle 2650 on 4S. that traxxas esc is a little beast... i love that thing.

I'm anxiously waiting for the mamba monster XL...i think i read somewhere that esc is gonna support 10S. there's gonna be some 80mph truggies around here in the next year or so.

I run a Mamba monster in my RC8e and use the Traxxas esc mount. With the mounting bracket you can use foam under the esc instead of double sided tape. The esc stays in place just fine and IMO the foam absorbs some of the impact protecting the esc, also keeps the case from seperating witch is a problem on the monster.

Not going to happen with a 4s setup unless you can run a dual pack and get at least 4s 7000mah most likely

6s 4000-5000 with a 1350-1550kv
Hmm I'm running 4s 5000mah with a 2200kv. Hopefully I'll make 15 mins

If on a buggy, it might be possible but on a trugy, I seriously doubt it.

You will probably make a 15 minute main with that setup. It might be a little on the edge, but people do make 15 minute mains with it especially if you are running on a smaller track.
