Default Gearing help

Hello, just ordered the RCM kit. I plan on running a 2200 KV motor, what pinion gear should I go width? Also are there any other plastic spur gears I can use? I know AE, Mugen and Losi make one. Are they direct fit?

Thanks

The losi spur is a direct fit. I really like my 1900 on 4s and I am running 18-44 right now so if your dead set on the 2200 I would start out with a 14-15 if your going to run the 44 losi spur. I think your going to like the car compaired the Mugen. I am going to try a 1700 with a 20 to see if it will relax the bottom end out.

I have to run the Speed Passion Silver Arrow V2.0 1/8th Scale Brushless ESC/Motor Combo (2200kV), because of cost.

I guess I will run the AE 46T spur, I was told between 14-15 pinion. Sound right?

I would start off with the 14 and work from there. If your kit has the steel spur in it I would save the money on getting a delrin spur till you found a ratio combo you are happy with. I know a spur is 13 bucks but why waste the money if you end up wanting a different spur than a 46. Just my .02

Sorry to dig up an old thread guys but I'm having trouble finding one of these conversion kits, its disappeared off the rc monster site, I've sent an email and waiting a response. Thought I would ask here if anyone knows where I could possibly get one or an alternative conversion setup?
