Default How hot should Tekin 1400 get

I just picked up a new Tekin 1400kv motor that I will be running with a 22 volt lipo in a brushless 1/8 buggy. I was just wondering how hot the motor should be at the end of a run. Also, to get that temperature, what pinion gear should I start with if I will be running a 42 tooth spur? thanks

The gearing depends on what buggy you are running you should aim for about 35 to 40mph depending on your track size. Here is a good way to determine your gearing.

A buddy of mine runs his at about 180* after a 15min main, I think thats a bit high but he likes it. I would keep it around 150*.
