Its the same unless you can split the weight up. When you run 2 2s there are extra connections that can come lose when driving and it takes twice as long to charge because you have to charge them separately. I have both and 2 chargers so it doesnt really matter, but I prefer the 4s its cleaner. On the other hand with the 2s I can run them in the slashes too so for just 1/8 4s, if you have both 1/8 and 1/10 then prob 2 2s.

you can use a balancing connector to charge two 2s packs at once as a 4s

Well I didn't know if a single 4s would b lighter but I have 4 other 2s lipos just the hyper 9e is set up as a singleBattery and I'm looking to buy more lipos as well but didnt know if I shuld go with the single 4s or split it and run 2x2s lik my inferno ve n vorza

I didn't know if there was any advantage or disadvantage on runin a single 4s compared to 2 2s

The only real advantage of the single 4S is it is easier and the wiring is cleaner. If you always keep your 2x2s packs hooked up as a single 4S you are good to go. I wouldn't suggest that you use them for anything else individually. You want to treat those two packs like they are one from the time you buy them until they are junk.

There is no difference like kufman says, at last in power and runtime.
The only difference is more wires and maybe a bit more weight with a 2x2s lipo but I guess 20-40g max.
I prefer single packs tho. Easy to charge and connect, no mess

SMC makes quality packs. I would look at the Fantom one also. I have never ran one, but it seems legit.

Money not an issue? ok. Go buy 5 Turningy 4500 4s packs for the same price as one tp. I have driven buggies with both the turnigy and thunder power packs and I could not tell the difference.

Running 2) 2s batteries is a huge advantage simply because you can....

1.) have batteries for your 1/10 scale classes...

2.) be ready when you want to upgrade into a balanced car design like the Caster.

It's better to run you 2x2S like a 4S pack so taking out a pack for a 1/10th scale is nog a good idea...

Just make sure the tray is long enough for the protek. They are about 20-30% larger then the thunderpower packs all the way around and they are heavier too. I bought both and cod not believe the size difference so I took a pic and sent the protek back. and yes they are both 4s. The protek is 5400 and the thunderpower 5200 but 200 mah should not make that big of a difference. Check it out>>>
