wanting some input for a FTGT motor! The track we race on is usually pretty slick with loose clay and traction is tough even for an electric vehicle. Was just wondering what a good choice of motor would be.I thought maybe of using a lowred horsepoweed motor but some input would be nice!

What ever you get i would recomend a rotary carb. In limited traction conditions like yours they really help.

side ext moters tent to make less low end so that would also help.

an os cvr or even a cv might be a good moter for you.

Default SIDE EXHAUST

Hey

You really want to get some sort of side exhaust motor as the GT was designed with side exhausts in mind, they tend to fit better.

As for Carbs, slide or rotary will work, but you will need to change the linkage from the stock setting to get the slide carb to work properly.

Other than that, sounds like you want something fairly mild in the way of horse power. I would really suggest asking the other gas racers at your track what they are running to give you an idea of what you want to get.
