Great thread! I do remember the El Cajon raceway and the Lakeside track, though I never participated in any races at either, just practice. My interests turned to RC glider competitions when I was 15. I am still good friends with Mike Lee and Mike Skube.

Capt, I had no idea you were from this area. I grew up in RB and lived in Ramona my last few years in SoCal. I raced at a track in the Cajon-Zone sometime around '97. It might have been this track, but the name escapes me. I mainly raced at an outdoor track just south of Miramar NAS when it was a naval base.
