1/8th e buggy class growing?
I am new to the E buggy and it seems that most of the threads are from last summer. locally I see more at the tracks than I did last year but I just am not seeing the discussions and setup sheets that I would expect on the forums.
This is a enjoyable class to run and always seems to get the attention of the spectators and people in the pits when they are on the track. If you run in this lass post up how it is doing at your local tracks. In Georgia it is growing slowly, we have been able to run our own class the last few weeks witch is nice to avoid the battery swaps and stop and go's.

Our club track is almost entirely brushless.

My local track ( S&N's Trackside Brookfield Wi) is in the middle of making a larger indoor track that will allow 1/8 scale brushless and i cant wait for the switch. It seems to be alot less maint. and cars stay alot cleaner. Its a bit of a initial investment but i think cheaper and easier in the long run...

Our track is setup more for 10th but it seems that more 8th guys show up on saturdays. Our mains are only 6 min I think (only been to the opener last week). If enough guys show up with brushless they make a class. But when I went they just tossed me in with the nitro truggys. And I'm fine with that, cause I gut to run with my buds that have nitro.

That's kind of what is happening here. There are 2 tracks within 30 minutes of me and 4 or 5 that the pool of local racers attend. The problem or blessing here is that there is more tracks than weekends in a month, the events have to be stacked up but then it just depends who shows up at what track as there are only around a dozen 1/8th electrics running currently in the area, that I know of.

It's getting more and more popular here in so-cal. I run mostly at OCRC in Huntington Beach and we normally get 1 heat of expert 1/8 E and 1-2 heats of sportsman 1/8 E on a Sunday. They also race during the week in which they get about the same turn out...maybe a little less sometimes.

once they dial in the electronics. i think it will really take off. Also need the costs of lipos to come down a little. The Turnigy stuff is cheap but i think they still have the rep as being just that, i know BLbound is sold on their stuff though!

It is getting better trinity and protek both have 5400mAh 35c 4s for $139 hard case roar approved. that's best I could find without having to wait a month to get them. I know some people swear by turnigy but I like the hard case.

Oh yeah it's growing. It's outdoor season. Put the 1/10th away and get the big cars out!
It's evolved where people are putting less power in them finally, and the norm is 15min mains on 4500-5800 4s for buggy and 4s 6000 truggy.
