hehehe ok Rick you made your point. I do think there would have to be changes in the minimum weight rules to be as effective as you say, but my eyes and ears are open now.

Ridley, Rick has worked in the industry for MANY years including being the man behind Peak Performance. He is truly "in the know'. Although, I still think the 540's will lag behind the 550's in equal conditions.

Hey Rick, still like Alfa's?

8.10.13.1 Weight (Ready to Race) Minimum 2505 gr (88 oz)

There will be a bunch of "who cares about ROAR", but the person who will call themselves National Champion will have to abide by those rules until something changes.

Yes, that comment applies to the motors as well...

So if 1/10th 4wd's can't be beefed, and we're going to run 1/8th scale electronics in these tanks anyway.

Is it inevitable that 4x4 Corr trucks will be 1/8th scale buggies with Corr bodies and Tires???

Mugen Mbxsct?

I'll have 2S and 1/10 esc with a 550 motor once the parts get here. None of that is 1/8 electronics. The 550's are as much smaller than a 1/8 motor as they are larger than a 540.

What size is a 1/8th scale motor called?
540= standard 1/10th scale right?
Is that new Tekin 4x4 SCT motor a 550?

The 1/8 motors are like a 740 I think, but the real comparison can be made in dimensions.

The standard 540 is roughly 36mm diameter by 53mm length.

The 550 motors are also 36mm diameter but add length up to 72mm.

Most 1/8 motors are 40-42mm diameter and up to 76mm length.

Public relations at it best.

Peanut Gallery - A group of people whose opinions are considered unimportant.
