Default Do any of your tape your race tires?

I have a pair of Pro-Line Bow-Tie 2.2's that I going to mount on my truck. Would taping them be a bad idea? Will it have a negative effect on their softness?

I don't see a lot of taping in 1/10th scale, it's usually just done on truggies to keep the fronts from balooning.

It may change the feel of the tire for better or worse - IMO it'll allow the tire to slip on the foam since you're covering up the internal ribs that usually mold to the foam. Might help side bite in loose conditions, might make the tire feel slippery. The only way to find out is to try a set!
