That link really proves our point. The Zippys performed well, but middle of the pack. And extremly well priced.

Thats perfect for offroad. But I'd never put a Zippy in a onroad car where every bit of power= laptime.

In mod Corr/SCT I can just put in a faster motor if I feel my Zippys are a bit slow.

In 1/8th scale, I don't care at all. My Xray e809 conversion has an insane amount of power. Way too much. So a little better performance for a $120-220 pack isn't going to matter.

In stock buggy, truck, and Slash I'm not sure theres enough load on the battery to make a difference. Can't remember wishing for more power in stock buggy. (Then again I run a Tekin RS with boost timeing.)

Glad to see Hyperion has yet another quality product. Talk about ruleing the Electric RC world with thier chargers and now batteries.

Love my Hyperion g3 35c batteries. I got them from www.rcdude.com

I ran a 4s 4200 mah and can run the 10 minute main with my Hyper 9e. They are a little narrower and the fit is excellent.

Your problem may be caused by not have the amount of "c" there. In my 40c battery cells do not become unbalanced or take temperature, however in my 30c battery making it unbalanced and temperature, also the battery is inflated.
I think we lie to the amount of c but also more expensive, are not those of 40c

Lets do the math:
40C * 3A = 120A
35C * 3.8A = 133A => most punch

It's not the just the C rate you need to look at. Also watch the total capacity of your packs.

gotta love how they dont use maxamps in the shoot out, yet they have ads for them on the page.

i think they were a bit hard on the zippys.. they had the most mah and did pretty well in the other tests.. and they are a fraction of the cost.. whats not to like

but for a spec class i guess i would not use them if another brand could give me the edge.. i dont see how more top speed or power would help my truggy.
