Default melting Associated/LRP ESCs?

This weekend, my SC10 stock ESC melted. No gearing or motor changes on the truck at all. Three other guys I was racing with said that theirs did too. Anybody aware of a problem with these ESCs? I was considering ordering an LRP Eraser brushless system but am a little gunshy about buying one now.

Now the GOOD part of the story. I called Associated and they're going to replace it. I just have to send back the melty one. One of the other guys said he called them and they wouldn't replace it because he put a Dean's plug on it to run LiPo. Mine has a Traxxas plug on it and they neverf even questioned it. The guy was real nice on the phone. +1 for Associated customer support.
