Default Pro-Tek LiPos

Anyone ever used Pro-Tek LiPos from Amain Hobbies? I was looking at the 5000 mAh 40C hardcase lipos.

I use them. There just the Integy IP packs with a different sticker on them very good packs. A couple of different companys have there sticker on the pack. Hobby shops are also offerd the batterys with there label on them instead of the IP label

I agree with the others. Excellent packs, but a bit tall due to the nicad humps on the bottom. They required some slight modification to play nicely with my Kyoshos.

the 2C-3C charge rating is nice as well if you have a good charger.

For what it's worth, I can't find any Integy packs with a rating > 35C. Are there any less costly alternatives to the Pro-Tek branded versions of these packs?

I was looking to get (3) Pro-Tek 5000 mAh 40C lipos w/ (2) Team Orion Clubman or Race Spec LiPo chargers with a Muchmore Racing Power Master World Edition 12V/24A Power Supply. Thoughts?

I took the cheap road with the Thunder AC6 and I've been more than happy. I just wish I could charge >5A. At 5A I can charge a 6.6-7v pack in about 30 minutes, if I remember correctly.

I use a Thunder Power charger. It has a built in balancer and can charge up to 10 amps.

It is a fair bit cheaper now than when I bought mine last year.

I am glad to hear that the Protek packs are good. I just ordered one myself.

What do you use for a power supply?

The same 25 amp power supply I have had for 10 years. I don't even remember where I got it. I would just be sure to get a quality power supply. 15+ amps for one charger and 25+ for 2 chargers. Never hurts to have more than you need.

Good! I thought I was crazy when I went to Integy's website and could not find them.
