Their electronics are top notch, easily the best out of any SC RTR. You think problems don't occur with brushless setups??

Um never had a problem with my lrp stuff yet!!! I run X12 motors and Lrp SPX esc with xp 1015 servo and reedy lipo! I had nothing but problems with the stock stuff out of the box so I took it out and threw it away and SO glad I did!!!!

I think AE oem elctronics are better then the traxxas stuff anyhow! So no I really dont think you will have as many problems with brushless! Take care of them and gear them correctly and you will race every weekend for a long time!!!!

And yes some people do have problems with Brushless setups! I think it is due to over/under gearing and abuse and lack of maintenance!!!

Just my opinion!

Anything electronic can fail. I have been running a stock slash for over a year. Only thing I have done to electronics is clean the motor. It is still very competitive in our stock short course class and we allow any stock sc as long as it has stock electronics and tires. We do allow the radio and receiver to be changed out. Some vehicles just fit certain racers style better.

I am glad there is so much variety out there.

Pull your motor and slowly give it some throttle. I had one that was acting up and it turned out I had a dead spot. No amount of cleaning and motor spray could help it. If it stalls just turn the shaft by hand and see if it come back for a little bit. Worth a look.
