Is anyone sharing packs between 8th scale E-buggies and 550 sized helis? If so can you post your vehicle info and pack sizes and brand names?

I'm currently running the Losi 8ight 1.0 with the Losi conversion on a 5S 3000 with plenty of room. It's well balanced and at a reasonable weight.

I'm hoping to move to the Hot Bodies Ve8. It can fit 4S 5000/2050Kv or 6s 3000/1400Kv. Also, looking to get back into helis...500/550 class. The Outrage 550 is appealing, but I've owned a Trex 500 and would settle for the smaller size if I have to. Thinking 4s on the car and pairing to 8s on the heli...or 6s on both. Mah/size becomes an issue.

I'm happy with 10-12 minute run times on the car and 5 minutes on the heli. Any info would be appreciated.

That is a tough one. I have two Electric 8th scales that both run 4s 5000mah packs but both my Trex 500 and Logo 500 (550mm blades) use 6s packs. The Trex is using a 6s2600-3000mah pack while the Logo runs nothing smaller than a 5000mah 6s pack. I imagine you could motor down on the 8th scales and run 6s 3000mah packs and use them in both the trex and the buggy.

Darn... I was afraid of that. Looks like I'm kinda locked into the 425mm blades if I wanna share packs. I was hoping for a good compromise at 550mm. Oh well. LiPos aren't that expensive anymore.

Probably go:
Ve8-Tekin 1400/6s 3000 or 2050/4S 5000
Outrage 550 - Scorpion 1140Kv/6s 5000

I should look at the Logo too. I hear Compass is in trouble to the Atom isn't an option.

Guys are running 5s with the 1400 also in the Ve8, so if your current pack fits there you go for the buggy and just grab what ever packs you need for the Heli. There is a guy who pasted a few 5s 3000's that he used in the Ve8 for sale cheap, his name is Big Greg. Not sure if they sold but its worth a shot.
