Is this possible? If so, what can be used off the Rusty? What would I need to complete the transformation besides the obvious, i.e. chassis, body, wheels?

You need
a body
rear body mount
front body mount posts OR longer screws and spacers
some alm bits for the extender parts.
sc tires/wheels to run spec or stock class

Yeah Dont do what the other guy did. If you can get just a slash chasis, the other parts you will need are just the body post, rear a arms, turn buckles, and driveshafts plus like the front and rear bumper. It will look a whole lot better than the picture of that guys and will actually be a slash. That how I made my stock slash but I used parts from a traxxas bandit. Good luck

Yeah, I was thinking more along the lines of getting a slash chassis and just bolting up what I can off my Rusty.

So, the front end works? Diesel, you said new rear arms and shafts? The Rusty ones don't work?

I have to admit the extension does have me thinking about it. I spent a lot of time on my little Rusty and have it running pretty good. Last time I raced someone was my buddies stock FT GT2 and while he had me on top end a bit, I was able to hang with him. It would be nice to retain some of the handling I have setup in it. IDK
