Slash 4x4 mod. Gear ratio
I'm having trouble with over heating motors. Anyone have a gear ratio combo for the slash 4x4 running a 4.5 hv novak?

What Esc are you using?
I use havoc pro/ hv 4.5 with 54 spur 17 pinion. After a full battery (5600 2s) on a large 1/8 track the motor is 135(with heatsink on motor) and the is esc 105.

Are you already running the HV 4.5 and STILL over heating ? If you are I would look at your drivetrain , it should roll very free and not bind at all .
Or are you getting the HV 4.5 combo and want too know what pinion gear ?
If you want a lot of speed the 17-18/54 will work awesome . And if you need more I am sure you could gear it up even more as long as your battery was decent .

Im running the lrp sxx tc spec esc. and 13/54 ratio. the truck rolls nice and smooth with no binding.
