Default what about lrp

how does lrp x12 17.5 compare to those other motors. i have the x12 6.5 in my b44 and its extremely fast. the x12 17.5 in my t4 with the sxx stock spec was almost has fast has the b44 had to send the sxx back due to hesitating and cogging can not wait to get that speedo back and run some more laps with it.( my expo is at -50% on b44)

Tekin or Trinity Duo would be a good choice.

The Ballistic motors are a little picky with the Tekin ESC's
I myself am still having problems with my Ballistic and will be changing
it out for a Redline here very soon.

LRP has had issues.

My brother has a really good Novak 13.5 and I have run a bad fast Tekin 13.5.

But my Speedpassion motors have been fast and flawless for 2 years. I hope the new style are as good as the old version. Right now, I wouldn't trade my 17.5 and 13.5 for any others.

Default lrp seems to have the edge

Everyone has there own opinion i like lrp and i know tekin is awesome as well and thats why because of those 2 companies there gonna push each other for a better product and us has consumers are gonna reap the bennefits of this its like cubs cardinals except cubs fans might benefit from this.

I'm not sure how our Ballistics became outdated so quickly...

In what way are they not up to date?

You've heard wrong about the tekins then.
My friend (big greg on these forums) had an x12 6.5 in his b44 and I have a tekin 6.5. We can both wheelie down the straight, but the only real difference is that he would come off the track at 160 degrees or more on the motor and and would come off at 120 geared a tooth higher than him. He had a bearing go bad once so I loaned him one of my extra tekin motors and it too came off the track at 120 or so on the same speedo.

My main thought is to stick to a closed can motor for rear motored off roaders, unless you are on nice prepped surfaces and since you have the RS already you will get more consistent timing setups with a Redline motor.

iv herd that the tekins are very hit or miss company 1 motor will be a 17.5 and as fast as an 8.5 and another will be slower then a snail.

if i were you id put an orion in there there very reliable and smooth.

i know i said a ballistic but 2 2nd 1 seems to be crapping out so i am officially selling it all

The motors are not hit or miss on any account. What is hit or miss is the knowledge of the software that goes in the speedo controlling the motors. The RS comes out of the box with very conservative software and without the hotwire will be way behind anyone who has taken their time to set up the esc to their liking.

The only tekin I have seen running was just sick fast for a 17.5. I don't know why someone would say the Novak's are junk, but I will have to say my past experience with LRP has never been good and their customer service was dreadful in my experience as well.

im just saying from my own personal experience with the tekin and lrp, going fast down the straight is not going to win you a race, just from me personally i thought the tekin just lacked alittle bottom punch compared to my lrp,yea they both haul butt down the straight i just think my lrp has alittle more punch. If i was in the market for a new motor it would be between the tekin or lrp,i think these two compainies are ahead of everyone right now.Tekin has hands down the best escs on the market, just wishi could afford one, guess my tcspec will do for now.
