Please don't put EDS in the same category as Hudy steel. Just cause it's brown in color doesn't make them the same spring steel. About the only thing from EDS I trust are nut drivers and tuning screw drivers. There Hex's bend or srtip WAY to easy.
MIP all the way. They last forever.

At least you didn't push the driver through your finger when it broke...
I was holding cvd in my hand tightening the set screw when the tip snapped. Slipped off the screw and I punched it right through my trigger finger. Of course I had to finish the day before going to the hospital to check for a chipped bone.

The same thing happened to me. I was just tightening a set screw. I thought it was pretty lame cause even my budget integy driver held up better.

Surprised no one has mentioned EDS? A bit pricier, but absolutely bullet proof. I have torqued some of mine far enough that would definitely destroy any other hex. Can't be spring steel =)

My Integy .05 won't fit the Associated .05 screws, it seems to be too big. The MIP/Thorp .05 works fine on the exact same screws.
The rest of my Integy hex drivers work fine with the screw size they were made for, they just seem to round off after a bit of usage. My Hudy & MIP/Thorps still have sharp edges after semi-heavy use.

but more importantly make sure you have all the dirt out of the screw head you could also be putting things a little overkill tight, I often mod my car to replace the screws with same thread size but much larger heads

Kudos to Team Associated Response Time
Armaan,
You can send them back and we can take a look at them for you, but there is no warranty on tips. It would have to be a real obvious defect in order for the warranty department to issue a replacement. It cant hurt to send them in though.

Subject: AE Factory Team Tools - Defective
Hello,
I’m contacting you because I am frustrated. I have a bevy of Associated cars, trucks, parts and tools. The Factory Team Driver set I bought last year has held up really well, until I got to assembling my T4; the .050 tip broke off while tightening the steering servo. I bought a replacement tip, only to find that this time, the tip stripped. I went ahead and bought another, and that one stripped as well. My local hobby shop ran out of bits, so I ended up borrowing a Hudy .050 driver from a friend, and got to assemble the entire T4 without a problem.
The thing is, I bought a B4, and I no longer have my friend’s driver.
Is there a way that I can send you back the .050 tips that are damaged in exchange for new tips?
Let me know.
Thank you,
Armaan
