Default SC10 gearing for VXL brushless(10.5) set-up

Hey guys I picked up a SC10 roller and I am installing a new VXL system out of a Slash 4x4 in it. My question is spur and pinion gearing for this set up on a short course clay track, spur on truck is an 87t so what would be a good pinion gear choice for this set-up, oh yeah I am running 2s lipo's in it...Thanks

Start with 87/23.

If motor temps are fine, try 84/22 for a little more speed.

I'll try that, I just happen to have a 23t pinion, I tried a 20t and too much low end (wheelies on demand), don't need that for the track.....Really suprised on how well these trucks handle, and thats only a test run in the front yard, can't wait to get it on the track....Might make me park my 2wd VXL Slash.....

Im not trying to hijack your thread, but I have the same motor/esc/lipo setup for my 2wd slash. Would this spur/pinion combo be good for my slash also, given the same track conditions? Thanks.
