New to the RC world, Need any help possible
I am new to the rc world and I was just looking for any help what so ever. I used to race dirt track but was involved in a vehicle accident and now I am paralyzed from the waist down. I live in SW Iowa. I am looking into getting a traxxas slash 2wd or 4wd, havent decided yet. I have been down to hobbyplex raceway. Just any information about anything if very helpful. Thanks very much!

Hey! Welcome to the fun world of RC! My opinion, if you're on a budget, get the 2.4GHz Traxxas 2WD RTR, if budget isn't that tight, I'd go for the 4wd... 4WD vehicles are a bit easier to drive and more forgiving of too much throttling...
You can't go wrong with either one. For both vehicles, I'd check out each respective threads for them, it'll probably give you a heads-up on what to look out for... All RC have shortcomings, but there's usually remedies and work-arounds for it...

The 4x4's short cource trucks are the hot ticket these days. The slash 4x4 would probebly be your best bet, or if your on a tight budget you might go for the regular slash. In the long run you would be better off with the 4x4 due to the brushless motor and speed controll. 40mph out of the box. 4 wheel drive is really the way to go!
The brushless ERevo or savage flux would be a blast anywhere but you need to decide what type of RC you want or where you want to run it mainly. If your going to run it up and down the street maybe a onroad/drift car would be good?
Hope this helps a little.

I almost forgot, if your on a month to month budget then check out tower hobbies easy pay system. They have almost every car you could want including the slash 4x4. But with easy pay they divide the amount into 3 payments and deduct it 30 and 60 days from purchase. You only pay the first payment at that time and they ship it, it's a sweet system, I've used it a few times now and they are really nice people. No finance charge or anything. Easy breezy lemon squeezy. Late.

Consider starting with 2wd, just for ease of maintenance and less things to break. You want to spend your time driving, not wrenching.
The Blitz isn't bad either. I love my 2wd Slash. We have a Slash4 Platinum and it work great.
