Default rc10 could any one tell me more about it

I got it from a guy that just had it in storage. Any info would be useful.

WOW what a cool find my father in law has a gold pan rc10 in his garage... I wish I could help you out I dont know much about them though.. I believe its the original Team Associated offroad buggy... Pretty cool stuff IMO

It looks like a TQ10. More info can be found here (scroll down to THE HORIZON TQ10 Mid 1989-90) and here

holy moly i forgot bout that car and how much i sweated wanting 1 as a kid. 2.125 and 2.175 tires damn i forgot bout them. always remembered 1.5, 1.6, 1.9, 2.0, 2.1 then finally 2.2 but geez. the combos were nuts 1.9/1.6, 2.0/2.0, 2.1/2.0 etc.

The chassis looks like a Composite Craft. The remainder of the major parts are all AE. The transmission is the original 6 gear. If you are going to run the car you will need to upgrade the idler gears if you plan to run any real power. Also, with the exception of the rear bulkhead you can find all the remaining parts, mostly directly from AE. The rear arm mounts are only available through auction sites or you can get reproductions in aluminum.

Check out the vintage section of rc10talk.com for all your RC10 needs. That trip down memory lane inspired me to rebuild 2 of my RC10's from the 80's along with my 2wd and 4wd cars from the 2003 worlds.
