Default Who Makes the Best Servo Tape?

Parma/PSE Pro Servo Tape
Racer's Edge/Duratrax/Great Planes
Dan's Sticky Stuff
Scotch 3M 4010 Tape

I'm leaning towards the Scotch/3M brand, as it's $5 for 5-feet at Home Depot. Just wondering if it will be strong enough.

I only use the Parma, it holds up pretty good and provides cushin. Peeling the back off can be a pain.

The 3M stuff is good, it almost like needs to set up (for lack of better term) it seems to get stronger with time. The best part is is comes of clean unlike others.

I currently use GreatPlanes because that's what my LHS sells, never any problems with it and come in different widths too.

I love and been using the Original Bolink Type Servo Tape from RJ Speed.

Nothing comes lose with this stuff. Holds on/off switchs with ease too.

BUT....I do have the 3m stuff at Home Depot and it's great too. Hell, must be great to hold door moldings on cars.

Yeah, that's what I want!! I hate when I have to break out the WD40 to remove the foam and adhesive residue after "chunking" the servo tape off. I'll get the 3M stuff...it's $8 for 2 rolls on eBay!

I use vel-cro insread of servo tape, it holds great and makes switching electronics a breese. I have even used vel-cro to hold down batteries.

I thought about that, so I wouldn't have to buy 3+ receivers for all of my cars. The thing is, I have not found a strong/thin enough velcro. What type do you use?

I use the thick plastic velcro that they sell in strips at target. This stuff holds strong, but you will have a bit of a lip because of it. I havent' found an issue however as on my VTA cars and 1/10 and 1/8 electric stuff it works fine. I also like the fact I can switch stuff around when needed.

As for servo tape, I was pretty impressed with the novak clear stuff. I got some parma stuff on order too.

3M makes a product called Dual Lock that works really well but after while it gets weaker and upon serious impact it will pop loose, the same with velco. If your receivers are mounted tightly in a TC between other electronics such as the esc and servo then you can likely get away with using this without issue. If it's sitting in a truck or buggy out in the open on the chassis by itself there is a chance it will get knocked out if using velcro.

I use teh Scotch - like the cushion it provides and that it will come off withjout destroying any labels you may put it over. I use it for rcvrs and switches too.

To be honest I like velcro. But on 8th scale the esc still kinda scares me alittle. My MMM worked loose from time to time, not all the way but eough to worry. I am trying to mount my new RX8 with velcro and something else like a zip tie or something more permanent.

I believe the Parma is Scotch. The clear stuff in any event, sticks well and yet somehow it comes off in one piece as mentioned.

I’ve switched from Buds’, which held fine, good sized roll if I remember correctly, but was a pain to clean up.
