Default motor tuning, major problems, expert needed!?

("So it goes" slaughterhouse 9)
I have a 24.7 xtm motor
I torn down the entire engine to clean it out and then rebuilt it.
The problem:
after the motor was rebuilt I started it and got it to run ok, but the next day everything was terrible

The motor will start with the throttle half way open, but when you return the carburator to the idle position the motor will rev up to about 20,000 rpms. There wasn't even a 1mm gap on the carb barrel and it was acting like it was open 3/4 the way.
The setting are all factory 3 on top and 7.5 on the bottom.
Does anyone have any ideas what is going on.

Any kind of input will be greatly appreciated.

Another thing, it all started after i pulled the pull start of and began to use the starter box. Maybe I may have assembled the engine incorrectly?
Thanks in advance

It's hard to say you may have an air leak

check all ur bolt's are up tight
even try sealing ur engine with ultra copper
