Default Lipo's in a 2wd Slash

I'd like to run Lipo's in my 2wd Slash but I need to know what other Slash owners are using for a "low voltage cutout" on their lipo fuels Slash?
Let me know...

i bought the novak setup and it comes with a lipo cut-off built in. but i think novak sells a seprate lipo cut-off unit that is for esc's that dont have them built in.

Smart stop doesn't work with the stock Slash esc - see about 1/2 way down on this -

If you're racing, its not usually a propb. If you're not, you can use an low voltage alarm tyhat usually has a audible and visible alarm that goes off when you approach the lvc.

Can find them on eBay, helis hjave been using them for a while.

I bought a low voltage alarm at Maxamps. It just plugs in to the balance connector.

Being new to lipos, it might be a little sketchy to run them with no cut-off. Especially when your out in front of the house goofin around. When you make the change you'll be addicted, but I would definitly get the alarm that Paul mentioned or upgrade your esc.

SMART-STOP UPDATE FOR TRAXXAS XL-5 ESC USERS

The Novak Smart-Stop 2S Li-Po Cut-Off Module (Novak #5470) is not compatible with the blue-cased Traxxas XL-5 ESC (Traxxas #3018X) that is included with the Traxxas Slash 1/10 2WD Short Course Racing Truck (Traxxas #5805). This module may or may not be compatible with the original, gold-cased Traxxas XL-5 ESC (Traxxas #3018). Novak is researching this issue to determine if an update can be made to the module or if a separate module can be offered for this application.
