how does it work with novak, lrp.or other sensored motors?
I might put one on my next project and I just would like to know also on the programming card do I need that initially or is the esc pretty well setup out of the box? eg full brakes, full forward,no reverse that's all I really need

Everyone I've talked to seems to have no problems running any sensored motor.
For your setup, you would need the program box as it comes default as Forward/Brake/Reverse and partial brakes. You don't need the LCD program box, you can use the LED one...both work fine and are super easy to program. If you need an LCD program box, I have a new one for sale. I bought it for my EZRun ESCs but found out my EZRuns are too old to work with the LCD box.

I would strongly recommend a traxxas vxl velineon system..descent price but its great...i have a rustler xl-5 and just upgraded to a brushless and its great . It would be easy to install and work with because your car is a traxxas too so it would be easy

EZRUN doesn't need fancy ads to promote their amazing products...they let their products to speak for themself. Just make sure you get version 2.0 ESCs, I had bad experience with V1.0, it's more poweful than the V.2.0 but mine ended in heavy cogging after 5 months of use. With V2.0, no problem encountered yet after 1 year of use

wow, thanks fellas. Im kind of new to the electric scene. Im setting up a t4, and was looking at the ezrun systems. I saw most were running 60a esc's. Some 80a esc's. Im lookin to get a 13.5 motor, which i didn't see any combos for sale with the 13.5 motor. Given the motor im looking at (for stock truck class) Which esc amperage wise should i go with? 60a or 80a. And what kv should i be looking at. Any suggestions are helpful, thanks guys!
If you're not planning to go hotter on motor turn, 35A is more than enough for the 13.5T.
A 60A one will be a good investment though, in case you want to use it on faster motors in future.

Can anyone here tell me the major difference between the XErun 60amp Vs 2.0 in blue and the XErun 60 Amp Vs. 2.0 in black?
Are you paying extra $$$ just for "Blue Bling" or?
thanks....

Yep on Egay.... and it especially depends on what they charge for delivery (I'm in Canada). I'm really struggling whether to get the 120Amp/ 8.5 sustem or the 60Amp/ 8.5 system....or to get the Blue 120Amp or the Blue 60Amp by themselves and add which motor I want. I would like to believe the XErun 8.5 motor would be good enough for racing purpases. This going in a Losi MF2 stadium truck.
Opinions would be really welcome guys....

Ezrun motor/esc combos
I have tried a few of the Ezrun/Xerun combos in various vehicles and thought i would share my experiences-
Ezrun 150amp esc/motor combo in a converted E-Revo-VERY quick and almost as good as my factory B/L E-Revo.
Ezrun 80amp esc/4300kv motor in the Traxxas Slash-good overall performance in terms of acceleration and speed with acceptable motor temps.
Xerun 60amp esc/3300kv sensored combo in my SC10-great combo-very smooth takeoff ,also very quick.
A lot of racers are using the Ezrun 35amp esc combo with either the 3000kv or 4300kv motors in their SC 10's here in Australia and it seems they are well suited to track use.I am not an expert on these combos but have used enough of them to form my own opinion. At the end of the day,Ezrun or Xerun combos SEEM to be good value and I have not had any problems with the ones I have installed and driven.

Hey guys. I am having a hard time figuring out how to get my brakes tamed down from my radio. I have the 60a 8.5t combo and I set my neutral, full throttle, and brakes during the programming mode. Now on my radio (dx3r) under travel where I normally adjust my brakes it doesn't seem to do anything as far as decreasing my brakes. If I go far enough down with it, it will actually make the motor start spinning. It seems all it is doing is moving the neutral point. Is the only way to adjust brakes on this esc is to use the program box and adjust the % choices it offers? I would have a hard time believeing this is the only way to change this setting.
I am also curious if anyone has run this esc without the fan? I am going to run this in a kyosho zx5 and height is a issue with the body. I will have to cut a spot of the body out to make room for the fan, which I am worried about the fan getting damaged by other cars during racing with the fan being exposed.
