Question:
What benefit is there from converting the front axles to 12mm hexes?

I totally get it for the rear since 14mm is an oddball size, but why the fronts?

It basically comes down to most other cars running hexes and compatibility between them.

Default Steering mod update!

Hello everyone,

Now i can give you more informations about the b5 steering mod, with some messurements and pics!
It is the original DEX210 compared to the b5.

Sorry, i only can upload one picture per post, so it will be 4 to 5 posts...

...from the top, so you can see, the ball studs are allmost at the same distance to the front, only the distance from left to right ball studs is a little bit closer, than at the original!

As some people asked me, if the servo will fit at the original place, i have to say sorry, as the b5 arms are higher, the servo will hit the steering arms, before it sits flat in its place.

And last, but not least, the differents between the original and the b5 rack/ball studs.
It is actually about 10 mm lower, not only 3 mm, i sayed a fiew posts before!
But you can rase the arms, by putting some 3 mm washers, or a spacer underneth.

As you have any more questions, feel free to ask and i will try to answer, or do some messurements for you..

With the arms in place, do the steering links hit the suspension arms when the suspension is compressed? I had tried running the crossbar below the steering arms but found they hit the arms and wouldn't work.

Fred, lots of room left and nothing is hitting anywere!
You have the possibility to run washers/spacers behind the steering rack ball stuts, mayby more than 3-4 mm and there is room left?
It is actually hard to get on a picture, but hope you can see!?

First two pictures are with the v1 gull wing arm, third picture is with v2 flat arm!

Anyone running the -2mm rear alum mount with the Rear Front option aluminum mount with the pills? What pills are you using. It seems to me by the chart that using the #2 down gives me degree anti squat?

When I look at the chart that comes with the new aluminum RF mount it shows that I ran 4.8 anti squat when using the stock 1.5 plastic RF mount and the -2mm rear mount. If that is really true I never ran a car with more than 2mm anti squat before and I have lots of traction and no funny stuff under breaking so I'm already happy.
