It doesn't look like much has changed from the V2. Different rear cvd's, different shock ends, different body (a huge improvement!), and 12mm hexes seem to be it. It mentions front hexes but still shows the bearing style. I'll have to look a bit closer at it but it certainly doesn't seem like enough to warrant a version change. I'm disappointed that the same battery configuration is retained.

The exploded view lists the new V3 parts. There doesn't seem to be a lot that is new.

New updates are subtle on the new V3 version but are nice. Like the hex setup now so I can use all my existing wheels. I would say they fine tuned the car a little more like AE and Losi has done with their cars. I want a 2nd buggy but want something that are hobbyshop can get easily like Losi and AE. Durango is easy since Great Planes carries them. Might be placing one on back order as soon as I see them listed on GP

I wonder the manual is done. It doesn't show the new CVD's or the front hexes. The front hexes do exist though. Here's the part:

Looks like it just shows where they'll go but not the actual parts. Maybe there'll be an addendum page in the instructions

this new 12mm and 14mm hex option for the dex210v3, from what people are seeing does that mean you can retro fit say the hexes onto the current vehicles and run 12mm wheels? Or, is there specific parts we need from this car to "update" our curent durangos to V3 specs in that regard? (looks kind of like the latter)

I am thinking these parts, maybe more:

- TD310612 : 12mm front axle
- TD310622 : drive hex set
- TD310628 : multi axle retaining ring
- TD310629 : rear multi axle
- TD310631 : drive shaft 62.5 mm

I don't need to right now, as what I got came with tons but it would be cool if someone said "hey try my tires" and I could give it a go with my franken dex210.

If I am reading it right, the price looks pretty good at $249.99 as kind of a "team" kit. Would be cool though if they would offer a version that has some of the nice options to have a lite version out of the box.

Also be nice though if they would make some stock spur gears in the $4.99 price range like the 81T.

Looking through the manual, hmm, they could have maybe changed it a bit more to look like a manual more specific to the V3 versus lifting pages and keeping the V2 designation on the page.

Also, maybe that gear ratio chart updated as well to reflect the more stock friendly spur gear sizes they offer.

Well, maybe the price of the kit was saved by not going more full bore on the manual lol.

Hello All,

the DEX210v3 is an update to the successful DEX210v2 car.

The aim with this update was to bring features that were developed on the DEX210F and DEX410v5 to the MM/RM DEX210 platform.

These features actually make quite a big difference to the way the car drives, the Multi-Axle driveshafts (first time I'm allowed to talk about them now) is a pretty cool tuning feature. you actually will get 2 length driveshafts IN the kit so you can tune and play with setups using kit parts.
This is another TD Patent Pending feature.

The DEX210v2 and DEX210v2 exploded views (for the v3) have v3 logos that you can click which take you to the supplement sheet for v3 specific build.

Once you see the DEX210F and DEX410v5 along side the DEX210v3 you will see how it all makes sense and a rather attractive product line in both performance tune-ability and parts sharing.

This is the exact specification car that I used at the Euros this year at RHR in the UK. My car was pretty awesome at that event and with a capable driver would have been top3. I almost made the A-Main myself! (BQ and Win lol )

good stuff. So, does the new car get a new "official Durango DEX210V3" Thread like the other brands do lol.

Oh, for those who may be interested, I got a bunch of these "indoor" style tires that I won't use here, mounted on yellow durango style rims. Need dirt style treads like step pins, etc.

So if anyone interested shoot me a pm.

I guess thats up to the community...

Personally, I think the DEX210 platform v1, v2, v3 has evolved very nicely and nearly all of the v1 tips are still relevant or useful to people that would be new to TD even toady.

Even some of the hand-modified adjustments will still carry over to the v3.
I know there are a lot of people that want/like sideways battery mounting and there a lot of people that have made this modifications themselves or after market companies that offer these. those are still valid and would carry over to the v3 too.

for the DEX210F and DEX410v5, both of these cars are the biggest updates to the TD 10th scale platform so far so I would imagine a new thread would be useful for these kits.

I really like how the hex pins are held in by o-rings. So simple yet so ingenious.

I'm glad I didn't wait for this (v3) . Not enough change to peak my interest.
