Assuming that the durango transmission has a 2.6:1 as does my Kyosho, as well as the AE B4 lineup, then I have two that I run religously.

For a bigger track high speeds I run a 69/34, temp around 140-145 after a 6 minute main.
For a smaller track tourque required I run a 72/33, temp around 135-145 after a 6 minute main.

Both blinky 17.5's. I just find the happy spot for timing on my motor, and let the rest settle itself. I have never cooked a motor or esc, and I have just as much power as the fast guys around me.

Yes, the internal ratio remains constant no matter the motor configuration.

Got a really strange question for you guys. I rebuilt my ball diff about 3 weeks ago, broke it in and installed it. I was going through my maintenance schedule today and decided to check the ball diff and see how it was looking. When I tore everything apart the screw that tightens the diff was extremely tight and the diff was a little tight as well. Any idea how it could have tightened up on it's own?

This can happen when the thrust being goes out. Check the nut and bolt that holds the assembly together as well.

I have a few questions... I am updating my ESC/Motor combo in my DEX tonight as I was at the track and the stock stuff just doesn't work. It doesn't have enough power.. Now my questions..

I am using the Speedpassion Reventon R esc and the Speed passion 8.5 motor so I want to know what gearing you guys would recommend out of the pinions I have.. I am pretty sure stock spur is 87 I have 26/27/28 and 29 pinions. what would be the best. I don't want a ton of speed or power as I am just trying my hand at racing tomorrow and am racing sportsman. I just want to make it around the track.

Not sure why anyone would be concerned?? I already have the RDRP +11 and will be picking up the Exotek. I think the front design is awesome.
