Yes stock chassis. The driveshafts are also near the send of the outdrives in my case. See how the diff nut extends quite far? The driveshaft is applying pressure on it at ride height.





The other side seems to have more room. Should the diff be the other way around with the nut on the right side?

Ok thanks guys. I will have a closer look at the instructions. My son brought it to me to look it over as he's assembling it. I didn't want to have him start disassembling it until I got some guidance.

+1 Put the diff spring in a pair of pliers and clamp the pliers closed a few times. The spring will collapse a little bit. When you put the diff back together, tighten it until it is tight and then back it off 1/8 turn. I'll bet the problem will be fixed. Also note that he is showing you that the spacers go under the gearbox (between the gearbox and rear suspension hanger).

does anyone know if any other savox gears like titanium are universal to the 1251 mg low profile i checked my 1256 but way off ,, i stripped the teeth off one of the center gears from a bad landing , im happy with durango i broke a metal gear servo before anything on the front of the buggy im rethinking the advantage of low profile with steel gears vs titanium gears

Yep. It looks like the diff just isn't tight enough. When the diff screw hits the plastic part of the diff nut it feels like it's tight- but it's really not. Just tighten it slowly and 1/8 turn at a time, working it back and forth with your hands (or holding the tire in this case) . The nubs on the diff nut should be approximately 1-1.5mm from the inside edge of the slot in the outdrive.

I wish I could put the alu chassis back on.
I had a hard time dialing it in for 17.5 blinky. Just too heavy.

No interest in putting the alu chassis back on.
Not going to spend $$$ on a CF chassis.
RDRP alu chassis looks nice - but at 11mm might be too long.
My local track is small to medium size.

Using the rear portion of the alu chassis is a great idea.

The dimec chassis was perfect.

Not sure if I will buy another dimec anytime soon, until an actual fix comes up.

For now the buggy will be sitting in the garage - lol
