get yourself a good steering rack and a cf rear tower. I broke 3 towers before I bought my cf one. the stock steering rack is just a ticking time bomb. it will fail.

Kit comes w/ alum rack, the rtr does not. Two upgrades you must do are the aluminum rack and I would get aluminum Rear-front hinge pin holders. As for the rear shock tower,, I've never seen one of these break, I've raced mine for several seasons now w/o issue so I'd say the stock is just fine... but if you build your shocks wrong where they cannot compress fully or if you land upside down a lot or just right maybe? But under normal conditions the stock plastic works just fine.

TBH the only other part I have broke on my was the front C-hub, and you can now get aluminum versions of that part too.

If you put a 1mm shim between the rear shock tower and motor plate/tranny it won't break in that spot, or grind the motor plate just where it touches the tower.

Did this to mine after I broke one and could see where it touches when it landed upside down on the rear tower.

I'd spend a couple more dollars and get a sensored setup.

These two will run about $70. The combo you listed shows up as $60 on the US warehouse. If you're racing, especially on carpet, a smooth sensored setup will really make a difference.

thanks man! looks good! Im not racing seriously (yet) just having fun at the track. btw. Ive been reading a lot on the 210 today, mostly in this thread, and i actually see some people say the would choose the RTR over the KIT? .. I guess the rtr really is a good deal now at 200 $.. What do you think?

I kinda promised myself after the last car i bought that the next car had to be a kit. i have a couple of rtrs already and really wanted a kit this time..

what really are the differences?

For the price I would buy the RTR kit and just upgrade it as you get more serious. The RTR kit is hard to beat for $180-$200 right now. You also get a decent brushless system that is sensored. The steering servo is the one upgrade you'll want to do out of the box.

I got my Son the RTR which is great for the money.

Had a lot of upgrades since.

Speedo is good for 8.5 turn I believe.

The problem I had with changing the servo was the steering became to fast. With no way of slowing it down on the standard radio. So ended up buying him a new radio.

Bargain for £55.00 Not sure if they are available over in the USA though?
