Switched mine to a +8 awhile back and love the way it handles on our outdoor track.

Recently got a +11 but haven't had a chance to switch it over yet, looking fwd to trying it. Here is a real quick video of our layout we are just finishing up so cars are not tuned for it yet. Got my DEX's videoed a will be posting a new one by the weekend with the track all cleaned up and hopefully tuned cars.

I'm swapping over to the DIMEC +8 chassis from the stock aluminum one...What are the 4 countersunk screws for?

I would say they are for the rear suspension hangers, the old DIMEC chassis used button heads for those.

eh, I didn't notice anything magical about the +8 chassis. It just made the car a little harder to turn. The short chassis felt more nimble to me.

I would say you are pretty close for a small track.

Got second tonight. First race of a points series at a local indoor track. Track is extremely rough and has about 1/4-1/2" of dust and loose loose silt on top so conditions are very inconsistent. Add in the fact we ran 8 buggies together in the qualifiers and main on a 40'x60' track and it was very close exciting racing.

Happy to say that my buggy was pretty close to dialed and I only lost to first due to my over-conservative driving.

It seems like I've heard mixed reviews, depending on the track, and driving styles it does make the car a little more relaxed, and maybe even say more numb. Doesn't seem so easily upset, and sort of reminds me of the feeling the first time I ran BB shocks..I am running a +8 aluminum chassis in blinky, and it felt really good this weekend, but would like to try a Dimec to maybe shed a few ounces..

RM3 currently

Have the idler pins and gears on order to try RM4. Maybe then I'll be able to push it like a 4WD. If not I'll try MM4 and do my normal super aomservative driving with the less traction I'll have but maybe the extra corner speed will balance it all out and be faster.

Only way to know it to try it out haha!

I tried RM4 on a loose track, and MM4 on a med/high bite track. On the 2 different surfaces they felt similar, lots of entry steering, pushy on power. I had to get very extreme with the MM4 setup to make it work, and if the traction wasn't there, I had no room to adjust to get more. I never tried MM3..

Sounds like RM4 will be worth a shot then. On power steering is decent for me now but off power is lacking and I feel like that's where I'm loosing most of my time. The 22 that beat me would just turn in on me off power.

Ive also tried both and with a shorty pack.
With the shorty pack all the way forward I still had less steering with the +8 dimec than with the battery all the way back in a short chassis.
the +8 chassis didnt give me enough steering on power compared to the short chassis. Tried the Exotek 20g weight also
