Is it safe to assume that the 2wd will have a gear diff? Seems ball diffs work better for 2wd and gear diffs for 4wd's.

Did they abandon the mid motor design?,, or will it be convertible like the 22?.. The worlds car looks to have been rear motor.

If i remember it right, the car was designed for both mid and rear motor layouts, like the 22.

Durango was publicly showing off a convertible mid/rear motor design way before Losi ever announced the 22. in fact, many if the characteristics Durango was talking about early on ended up in the 22. You might notice that the 22 looks a LOT like the DEX410. Big difference is: Losi pulled the buggy together and very successfully shipped it. Durango is still running prototypes.

+1

Losi has the money to put the ideas into reality faster than Durango. It's the same in 1/8 with the Serpent S811-E. Most of the concept was already on the DEX408 buggy. Even the DESC410R was overtaken by the Associated SC10 4X4. It's kind of sad Durango doesn't get all the benefits of their improvements but it's the game. I wish the DEX210 will be out soon

If they stop releasing photos of early prototypes than some of there ideas wouldn't of been stolen.

I believe in their article on the Durango site, they mentioned the shock towers were going to be composite.

There are and were some very specific things that needed to get taken care of before the official release of the car. One was a patent. Durango may not be the fastest at releasing kits but when the kit is released it's done right. The entire team from the engineers to the team drivers all work together.

The Desc410r is a great example. It's been winning most of the large events like the AMS, Hotrod Shootout, etc and at times taking the entire podium.
