Does anyone have a chart of pinion/spur combinations? Like 26 is the smallest I can go with a 75 spur. 25 looks like it may work but I'm not comfortable with the mesh.

I weighed all the towers before installing them and the aluminum ones were only a few grams heavier, so I didn't notice any difference.

Ya thanks, and no paint, it's a vinyl wrap from RC Tagz (he also did one for my Exo and DEX410).

Yeah, the mesh on a 75/25 is less than ideal. 78/26 will get you nearly the same ratio and a good mesh. Question is, what motor are you gearing that way?

Hey Jonny,

I actually posted this in the wrong thread. It's for my SC when I run at streamwood. Coming off a little hotter than I want with a 26. Since it's the same transmission, I left the post here. Was more for my info not a specific case.

thanks, that's what i needed to know. i've already got a rtr that i plan on upgrading but i'm also on the lookout for a used one with upgrades already added. i'm planning on ending up with 3 or 4 buggies total since i'll be building a couple oval cars setup mm with the buggies.

I put metal washers on the top of the shock towers to take the beating, and replace them when they wear out. I had to move weight to the rear running mm3 to get a good jump. Same problem with my ST210. They would nose dive with fwd weight.

Sooo...what are the common camber and shock positions?

Default Ball Diff

I took my ball diff apart and was wondering if a wear ring around the pressure plates is normal. I have wear on both sides where the balls contact the plate. I would post a picture but I'm not in the picture posting club yet.

Thanks
Matt

Front camber link hole #2 inside and #1 outside
Rear camber link stock hole on tranny case and #3 on hub.
Front shocks #2 on tower and #1 on arm
Rear shocks #2 on tower and #2 on arm.

Now these are what I noticed seemed to be the most common for medium traction to high traction clay tracks which is what I normally run on. Not saying these are the best but when I was looking at a starting setup these postions looked to one of the most popular.

As for springs, pistons and oils they where a ton harder for me to decide on. Saw many different brand springs from Durango, Losi and Kyosho. Pistons where a lot of 4 hole and 6 hole.
