Won the main..damm I like this car..
So you won by a lap with the stock chassis? Were you as fast with the dime?

After reading about the recent breakage issues with the plastic chassis, the mods to add metal back to the plastic chassis for strength (which puts the weight back on) , and then your resounding win with the stocker, I really think I'm going to stay with the stock chassis.

Now if Durango would just make some more freaking parts! Stock is low everywhere.

Thanks to all for the help. I think squishing the spring is what really worked. The nut sits down in the drive cup properly now and it doesn't matter which way the diff is installed. I looked at the new manual and it doesn't really tell you if the nut should be on the left or right.

Check Exotek..I'm using their 6.25 rear hexs and it made a huge difference, really helps turn in and it made the buggy more stable over the jumps and overall handling..worth the money..

I'll answer your question about left or right with a question.....

If the diff bolt and nut were to move because of rotation of the diff assembly (it can happen if the nut gets a little wear) , it would be preferable for it to get tighter than for it to loosen. You could finish a race with a too tight diff, but maybe not if the diff loosened up.

Now with that in mind, which side of the car should the nut be on to ensure that if the diff bolt was able to turn in the diff nut because of assembly rotation, the diff will get tighter instead of looser?

I haven't broken a chassis, and have been running one of each stiffness since they were available..

That is correct, thanks for the extra input

With Hobbbico owning Durango, I am not sure why parts are suck an issue. It seems liek it would be very easy to get parts. They have owned Durango for what? A year now?

Sure... if you think of it just from that standpoint. However, now that a large distributor carries them, that means that more kits are being sold. With places like Tower carrying them, and the huge discounts for the supersaver stuff, more kits are gonna get sold. So all those parts are going into the kits. Then with more kits being sold, you have a greater demand for the parts as they break. My local "HobbyTownUSA" even started carrying the kits.

It just cancels itself out
