Maybe try the AE lower ends. Not sure if the big bores come with different ones than the previous V2 ends, but they look pretty close.

I use 22 bottom eyelets and lower cups. Quality stuff.

Okay guys, been reading forever and have decided to ask for some opinions. I realize I am in the 210 thread so I expect it to be a little bias, but here goes.

My son is just getting into racing and said he would like a 1/10 buggy for Xmas. I have never raced one. I was always a nitro guy years ago and raced electric on-road and indoor carpet. I am now back into racing with him and feel he will really benefit from something 2wd and since he said he likes the buggies he made my decision what to get him. He is wheeling a Losi 4wd Short Course truck right now (i know, bad habits etc..., but I wanted him to have fun and not get discouraged from the beginning) I am running a 22SCT.

So here I am researching hours upon hours what to buy. I have it narrowed down the the 22 and the 210. As I said, we both have Losi's and I have always liked Losi products, but 10 years ago there wasn't much else to choose from besides AE. The Durango has really caught my eye, I just need some more info about durability etc (are ball cups really that bad?).... Parts support is kind of a mute point as my LHS doesn't carry anything buggy related so it will be mostly mail order. I just keep reading how durable the Losi is and that it is such a great buggy. While I have no doubt it is, it seems the Durango may have in edge in setup options out of the box without spending tons of $$.

So please help us out. As I said, parts support is not that important so it comes down to the two buggies and really durability as an 11yr old will be driving it. Thanks in advance! Seems like a great group of follow/supporters in here
I have owned both buggies, and can honestly say you can't go wrong with either one. I was unable to find a working set up for the 22, tried the B4.1 and ended up at Durango. Both buggies are very durable but the 210 fits my driving style. My buddy and I practice together every week. He has the 22 and I have the 210. We are pretty even both with driving and buggies. The bottom line seems to be driving style. He is more of a finesse driver, conservative but smooth, and I tend to steer the car around the track. I do like the assembly and quality of parts on the 210. Out of the box most people use 4 hole pistons, replace the steering rack, and RF hinge pin holder. Ball cups are hit and miss, but still crap in my opinion.

On the other hand, most 22 guys are running 25/5 up front, and raising the tranny 1mm, using a shorty pack, etc. There is no perfect buggy.

Are the stock Durango balls the same size as the losi balls? I have been wondering about an alternative to the stockers.

Thanks for the help and opinions! A little more unsure what to get now

And not to mention I posted a similar question in another thread and have yet to get a single response. I'm a little bothered by that to be honest!

Speedpassion = OEM of Hobbywing.

Speed Passion = $$$
Hobbywing = $

Either way they are good ESC's.

How experienced are you with running a 2wd? I quickly outgrew my 10.5t tekin motor. Personally, I would go with an 8.5t.

Fyi..the new Reventon series is not made by Hobbywing. It is made "in house" by Speed Passion.

I also don't think of Speed Passion as being expensive, at all. Look at the top of the line Orions, Tekin, LRP, etc. $130 for the Reventon Pro is a great deal. I just ordered one as well.

Hobbywing stuff might be cheap, but they look cheap as well.

i would be thinking more like a 8.5 and then use the current limiter on the Tekin RS esc to tame it down and then turn it up when time permits more power

very good quality product

Yup. They popped right in no issues. I was prepared to use the losi balls on the eyelets up front with some washers, but was surprized to find the Durango balls fit perfect.
