How is everybody liking the +8 chassis over the stock one? And would it be a good choice form a med. to high bite indoor track?

Here are a few more pics. When I got my kit, I assembled it per the instructions just to get a view of the baseline and geometry. After I assembled my kit per manual, I took out the front steering links and swapped sides Right to left and left to right so I would not have to pop off the ball cups but move the short ball stud to the knuckle and longer stud to the ackerman. 5mm washers on the ackerman. Note I used an aluminum ackerman which is 3mm thick and did not have to use a low pro nut. But the 4mm carbon fiber ackerman seems to need it per Flame56mx recommendation.

This is a pic at max uptravel. Setup is 1 degree camber 0 toe at 24mm ride height.

And this shows it bottomed out. Seems to only vary about .5 degrees from max droop to bottomed out. I'm pretty happy with that.

yeah i noticed clearance appears a little reduced with the 8+ chassis.

Here's my first prototype at my own CF shock towers. I used the aluminum Exotek bits for the front, but will probably make my own eventually.

Thanks for the list. I plan on getting this fairly soon. What 's the benefit of getting rid of the droop tabs?

If you are running on dirt or clay, dirt will pack onto the top of the droop pad and change the amount of droop.

quick question, is there any reason why there are no setups on the durango site for dirt using the 4 gear rear motor? Is it not worth using?

Maybe no one is running on really loose tracks. We were going to try it, but traction was awesome on our outdoor track with red ifmar studs. Cush never felt that more grip was needed.

I really like it, the car seems much more forgiving. it seems there's more room for pushing the car little faster, rather than being on the edge..

I ran the DIMEC20 this past weekend at CRCRC. Really liked it. The car felt great w/more corner speed. It felt much lighter on the track. Tried V2 Barcodes and the rear was all over the place. Switched to V1's and it was locked in. Will tweak setup when when I'm able to run again.

Here's a pic of the track I ran on. http://360.io/8nHJDZ. Full house that day with 160 entries! 5 heats of Mod buggy! Unfortunatly I was only able to get about a pack before qual and managed into the C main. I concentrated on learning the track. My fastest lap of the day was only a sec slower than the Amain winners fastest.

Good to see some fellow Durango drivers there as well! Hey Mallott, how did the buggy feel after you "threw everything at it"?
