Thought I might add what I noticed yesterday, from a small shipment of Durango parts to my lhs. If anyone is still using the carbon composite shock towers, it looks like they have re designed the rear shock tower. Slightly anyway but should help prevent those breaks where they touch on the motor plate.

Sorry for the poor picture. Also i'm not sure if its because my backup towers are a bit older or Durango has changed something in their carbon composite formula but these new towers feel much more rigid then the old ones.

Hum, those both say for the DESC210, I thought the buggy was shorter.

If the plastic chassis is anything like the short course mounted up it will flex like crazy. The sc has the most flex ive ever felt. You may want to wait for the stiffer carbon composite chassis

Dremeling a bit off the ear where the gear cover mounts helps as well. On a hard landing the rear flexes that mounting ear into the tower, producing a lever effect against it and, well, snap...

But, the carbon tower is about as bulletproof as it gets. Still have the original CF towers on both buggies, crash tested and Cush approved.

To convert to the aluminium chassis you would need -
MAIN CHASSIS PLATE Part No: TD320125
CHASSIS SIDE POD SET Part No: TD320122
3x10mm CS Screws x12 For mounting the side pods and rear suspension holders.
And probably a new body since the RTR has a +8mm chassis
DEX210 CLEAR BODY SET (INCLUDES DECALS & MASKS) Part No: TD402009
I think that is it.
I have contacted them and I am interested in what they have to say. In the meantime I think I will convert to the aluminum chassis. I also had no idea the rtr was a +8 chassis. Maybe I will go with the +8 carbon chassis right away. Any bad words to say about the 8-Racing CF chassis?

Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it.

Just bought at 210 yesterday! I've been an 8th scale nitro junkie for the last 10 years. I'm looking forward to racing 10th scale buggy. What are some common issues with the buggy other than the circlip in the ball diff?

can not say anything bad about them at all i love my 8 - racing 8mm chassis its awesome and for stock racing saved a fair amount of weight and well

car just feels so planted compaired to the smaller chassis IMO

After handling the dex210 rtr, I'm going to say the regular +8mm chassis probably won't be the chassis to get, it has so much flex its crazy, so much it would be tempting to run solid links instead of shocks on carpet, it has more flex then my duratrax evader, and as much as the desc210r. I'd go with the 8 racing one if you want one now or wait for me to release my aluminum one. Other then that (and the weird body) the rtr looks pretty good, just add your tires and set up of choice and go racing. It has the same springs as the kit so it probably won't have much steering out of the box with its hard tires, but for $420 its a great price.

Hi, I'm building mine MM4 and when I installed the plastic gear cover on the motor plate it scrubs a little on the gear cover. Is this common or I missed something?
