Im new to the DEX210 myself. So far the car has been tough. Didnt have an issue with ballcups or studs but changed out to the 4.8mm ones. maybe a front and rear tower, front arms but i have yet to break anything yet

Thanks! Hate to be a noob on this one but after reading the whole DESC410R and about 1000 pages of the SC10 4x4 threads I'm a little rctech threaded out. Search didn't turn up anything useful.
IMO there are two absolute must haves for the car- a CF rack and an aluminum RF hinge pin block (all of our hop ups come from www.tresrey-usa.com) Add CF front and rear towers and the car is really tough, pretty much bulletproof.

Check out the ball diff build guide on the TD website and follow it carefully (use BFast balls for great life between rebuilds), and you're pretty set. Great car and super tunable.

On another note, the Tresrey motor plates showed up today. Nice looking piece as expected, but they have a really neat feature- the plastic bushing that spaces between the trans case and the motor plate is replaced by an aluminum one that threads into the motor plate. Of course it can be configured to fit any motor layout you use, but it's a really nice touch showing the attention to detail of the Tresrey line.

So These:
http://www.tresrey-usa.com/tresrey-d...teering-plate/
(or this? http://www.team-durango.com/part-inf...artNo=TD320157)

http://rcshox.com/shoxshop/catalog/p...products_id=61

http://www.tresrey-usa.com/cream-fro...r-replacement/

I can't find the RF hinge pin block. Do you have a part #? Thanks!

I'll probably just get the gear diff as I have no experience with ball diffs and from what I heard the DEX210 one is not a good first ball diff.

Here's the RF block- http://www.tresrey-usa.com/tresrey-a...degree-dex210/

As for the gear diff, I haven't used it and personally have never liked them in 2wd . There are plenty of guys on here though that can point you in the right direction there.

I did some gearing combos for myself so i always know where I'm geared. Here you go. 13.5 turn should be around a 7.0 FDR. so in order to achieve it you can run a 76 spur and a 28 pinion.

Spur / pinion X internal gear ratio = Final drive ratio (FDR)

72/32x2.6=5.85
72/31x2.6=6.04
72/30x2.6=6.24
75/34x2.6=5.73
75/32x2.6=6.09.................13.5 turn = 7
76/30x2.6=6.56.................76/28=7.06
76/28x2.6=7.06
76/25x2.6=7.90
78/24x2.6=8.45
81/24x2.6=8.77.................7.5turn = 9.5
81/22x2.6=9.57.................81/22=9.57
83/22x2.6=9.81
83/20x2.6=10.79
83/18x2.6=11.99
85/18x2.6=12.28................17.5turn= 6
85/22x2.6=10.04................72/31=6.04
85/24x2.6=9.21
87/18x2.6=12.56
87/20x2.6=11.31
87/23x2.6=9.83..................10.5 turn= 8
87/24x2.6=9.425.................76/25= 7.90

10.5 turn you want to be at about 8 FDR! So try a 76/25 which equals a FDR of 7.90! Gets u real close!

I found a couple sites that help with choosing gearing.
http://www.teamnovak.com/tech_info/b...r_gearing.html to get an idea of what FDR you want and http://www.gearmachine.net/ makes an easy table to see what gearing gets you close to the FDR.

If I remember correctly Schumacher spurs fit, they make a 76t.

Looking at a Reedy 9.5. Would this motor be better in the 210 or 410? The track I run on is pretty small. Thought I would get some ideas. Anyone using this motor?
