I've got my brother's buggy almost done, but yardwork with the wife all day meant no racing for us. I did manage to pick up a set of digital scales so I can check weights on the corners, side to side, and front to back. We won't make it to the track until Thursday this week. Both buggies are getting full teardowns in the process, but they should be complete tomorrow. I'm as anxious as anyone else to see how both cf chassis perform.

It's my daughters B day today so I'm out for testing today. Maybe Wednesday.

Here's the +8. Spent some time on the scales earlier too-

Stock chassis- 105.8g
Stock length cf chassis- 52.3g
+8 cf chassis and extensions- 56.3g

Race weight for the +8 chassis is 1682g with cream weight under servo and front battery stop, along with Tresrey front bulkhead, RF hinge pin block, Cream F/R towers. Still have to get Ti turnbuckles for it.

We use velcro. There is a gap between the body and the top plate pivot, but it doesn't look bad. If you use the clips then a new hole is needed up front.

That is a really nice layout in your car

Default I wanna dex 210

Hello Dex210 owner's. I'm really interested in switching from ASC SC10 4x4 to the TD buggy. I think TD makes quality vehicles. My question or questions are 1. Can you run saddle packs in the buggy? 2. I would be installing a LRP TC Spec version 2, and a Orion 7.5 motor, is this ok? 3. What are the must haves for this buggy? 4. This would be raced on indoor clay track with crappy grip, What to use for a set-up starting point? Thanks !!

electronics are fine but you might want to turn the motor down a bit 7.5 is alot for a 2wd buggy

yes you can run full size or saddles or shorty lipos its up to you

RM4 for a clay track and the right tyre and enjoy mate there is heaps of different set ups to try

Define "proper".

For the way my brother wants his car to drive, he usually winds up with the battery within 3 pads of the servo- using the forward holes for the battery stop. See pic above. It's really about finding what you like, so just move it around and see.

Impressed a lot of people this weekend with how well this buggy handles. Only down fall was I came victim the stock ball cups popping off very easily and I had replaced them for this race to make sure their good. Time for the Lunsford upgrade for me.
But over all had a good weekend buggy handled well and only needed a few tweaks.
In the Mains started in 9th and pulled 2nd off in first AAA. 2nd an 3rd AAA's had the ball cups pop and dropped from 3rd in the second, and 4th in the 3rd after first 2 to 3 laps of each of those mains. Had the same issue in quals too.

The track was blue groove, I'll post the setup I was using.
