+1 on that. You'll love it, and wont have to do much maintaining with it, I just rebuilt mine after almost 2 months. About 90+ packs on the diff.

The BFast balls make a huge difference in how the diff works. The stock balls are soft and we had a similar hard time getting it set right, in fact roached them the first race weekend. Proper break in with the new balls and you'll be set, and diff diff will last you quite a while!

This is a good place to look Petit RC Durango 210 setups page.
A good spring steel 8mm circlip does the job and these are standard on ebay I use these 8mm internal circlip DIN472

if I make my rear camberlink shorter and mount it lower on the gearbox. what are the effects?

I have shaved off the original location ( mounting tab ) on the gearbox and made a carbon plate.

the ballstud is now several mm lower and the camberlink is now much shorter



in a few days I have a race on hardpacked low traction dirt

I would expect it to have considerably less body roll due to the shortened link, and less traction overall. Could you move your mount to the top of the brace from the chassis to the rear bulkhead (like the Tresrey mount)? Look like some trimming may be needed to do it, but that should get you closer to the stock adjustment range.
