I have the Orion VDS-1007 so it should be bullet proof.

If the mounting plate hits that tab on the Tranny when and if i shim it I would just shave off some of that tab that sits above it if needed.

If you get a 3degree toe 0 degree antisquat plate then you can shim it to the max 3 degree antisquat. I bought the RC Junky aluminium rear front brace version which comes with shims and it works fine as the RF brace is attached to the chassis and not the gearbox so does not alter its height only the hinge pins for antisquat.

Fitted a New Savox 1258 servo and can't seem to achieve full lock either way, i've even have the EPA to 120% and still no joy. Is there a way to adjust the steering linkage?

Zero everything on your radio, EPA and trim. Make sure tie- rods are a match. The linkage from servo horn has a 2mm gap and servo horn is on straight and not cocked to one side or the other. The recheck.

I did that one race day. Went from #2 position to zero without changing caster block. Could figure out why I had a horrible push! After the second quali, I had homer Simpson moment. I was embarrassed for myself.
