Looking forward to trying it out on Cush's buggy.
I think a 4 gear rear motor setup will spin forward.

Don't wish time away waiting for a rc car. Life is way to short! It will be here when it gets here.

Sounds right to me, but I remember a little thing from physics class a long time ago, "for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction". So if the motor spins forward, the torque effect of the motor can and chassis connected would be backward.

That sounds like physics class, yep there is the head ache again I got when someone else talked like that.

On the four gear the motor would spin ccw looking from the endbell(leftside). When this occurs it causes an upward motion in tha rearend. With the three gear, the motor spins cw and forces the rear down on power. Of course the farther back the weight(motor) the more traction. Draw a picture to help yourself visualize. Just my .02

Yes, and what I stated above would be true if the motor stayed on the same side. But I believe they use the same rotation (cw) and swap the motor over to the other side to compensate for rotation...??? Hence, the reason for the extra idler.

So after reading what I wrote: the four gear with the enbell on the right side of the car(looking from the back) spinning cw would produce the most traction.

Are the darker circles on the front bulkhead metal for the front droop screws? seems plastic would get chewed up.

i think it's just from the mold.

the droop screws do have a head like the RC8 ones.

It baffles me. My feeble brain cannot grasp it.
