I've opted for MM4. My DEX will be more or less permanently planted on astroturf. (In between jumps that is.) Might have to assemble my reserve spareparts ride as well and go for RM on that one, just to try them both in the same conditions.

New item from Tresrey...new slipper hubs and shaft to allow the use of Associated style spur gears.

http://tresrey.com/tresrey/products/tytd071.html

Can now use a more readily available spur gear like the JC Silent Speed.

+1 Ran ceramics for a while but the diff would just bark all the time. Put the BFast carbide diff balls in along with the ceramic Schumacher thrust assembly = Smoooooooth!

So if you're running RM4 do you have to put the motor on the other side?

After reading the link above, looks like you'd get mad traction. Downfall is the front end becomes lighter. Did you notice the lighter front end when you switched from RM3 to RM4?

I run RM4 all the time and run the full size lipo all the way forward next to the servo. Car is balanced and mad traction!

I agree! nothing like not having to worry about traction on a buggy, and when the boost kicks in the wheels come up. I will take some vid action tomorrow.

It helps when you run slipper pads from RC Shox like I am. . Hello from a fellow Houstonian.
