Im using spring steel circlips and they work great. Here is how you stay out of trouble with the diff.

1. Spend however much time it takes to MAKE SURE that the flat side of the circlip is facing the middle of the diff.

2. DONT over compress the circip. Just enough to get it to snap into place

3. Circlips are one-use only. Buy a bag of 20 and you will be set for a long time. Iv had my car since it's release day 3 months ago or so (is that right?) and im on circlip #3.

Cpt- Did you buy circlips locally or online? Do you know the measurements by chance? I need to get some but i don't have any extras to measure, and i'd rather not take apart my diff that's still in good shape to measure.

Got any more info on the longer chassis? Still waiting for the Aluminum rear hubs too...

This body looks sick. Definitely picking it up when it comes out.

Congratulations on the Reedy Invitational win! It was great to see Jorn and Durango break through.

Nothing except that it was longer.... they had just put them on the cars on Tuesday while testing at OCRC. The chassis weren't even anodized.

I wonder why they felt the need to run a longer chassis? the car is already SO planted, and in my opinion, could use a little more nimbleness added, not subtracted. Anybody have any info?

EDIT: Duh... Already been asked. Didn't read the thread first. D'oh!

It sounded like Neumann was saying in his interview with Zack Rogers on RC Insider that he was running a longer chassis on his DEX210 for the Reedy Race this weekend. Anyone have details about that? Has Durango said whether they're going to release a new part or are any third parties producing these? It's harder to extend an aluminum chassis with side moldings on your own...

All the team guys mentioned above that ran the longer chassis just felt that it was just that little bit better everywhere. More stability probably being the number 1 thing. The longer chassis simply makes the car the same length as the 22 and the B4. I personally even though I was in the Open class ran the short chassis and a nearly stock car (just titanium turnbuckles and aluminum rear wheel hexes.) I had a faster lap time than anyone in the Invite class with a 19.7. So the standard chassis is plenty competitive. It's just like with anything in racing, there is always room for improvement.

Also if anyone is interested my Set-up from the event is posted on my website and will soon be on the team-durago website as well.

Tim, Chance and I, have a lot of extra circlips, if you need to use a few till you order some. I bought them from Mcmaster Carr (#98455A108)
